      Hi Chris, thank you for your review. Please note that all models of Avalon 8×32, 10×42 and 20×50 binoculars can be mounted on a tripod but you will need an adapter to do so. On the front of your Avalon binoculars there is a circular black cap which can be twisted out. This reveals the tripod mounting socket. The adapter goes into that socket and can be used to mount your binoculars onto any tripod. You can purchase the tripod adapter on our website via the link below:

    I’ve been contemplating buying some new binoculars for months now, I bought a pair several years ago to take to the Kruger Park and was very disappointed with the quality so was nervous about making another bad purchase. I considered just spending proper money and buying Nikon and came across Avalon which truthfully I’d never heard of before. I shouldn’t have worried, when they arrived within 48 hours of ordering (there was a small part of me that even wondered as I hadn’t heard of them before it may even be a scam!) I am absolutely delighted with them, they are everything and more they say they are, the clarity, magnification and brightness are fantastic, they look amazing and seem of very good quality, I am so happy I was brave enough to buy them and not the Nikon equivalent, I’ll be buying my wife a pair for when we return to the Okavango in a couple of years, travel permitting. I would 100% recommend you buy if you’re considering them.

    Excellent Binoculars. Mine are 10×42 and the ease of use, comfort and attention to detail is incredible for the price.
    Little things like the lens cap attach point to the base of each lens and the eye piece cover that clips to the strap. First class.
    We have another pair of 10×42 from another maker and the Avalon’s seem to have greater magnification. They are certainly better suited to my eyes, so much easier to achieve ‘one image’ maybe being roof as opposed to Porro prisms helps.
    Being much lighter than our other pair makes them much better for taking out on long walks and trips.
    The only minus is that it would have been great to have had a strap for the case. The belt loop is not very practical out on the Western isles when wearing a big coat when eagle spotting.

    What a beautiful pair of light weight super clear binoculars, I’m a casual bird watcher and have made do with a £40 of binoculars for the last 10 years, did the job but these are so nice very light look really good in white a bit more feminine, hubby still likes them, WWT review recommended and all the great reviews made me treat my self, and I’m glad I did they are quite compact compared to old ones very comfortable and look and function as I expected after reading the fab reviews worth the price and you could pay a lot more for ones with no difference in quality, what I really like is the adjustability and no need for my glasses for both of us I can’t see distance hubby can’t see close up , I like stylish things but they have to be practical as well and I love white I know the normal folk will think I’m a bit potty but white binoculars on muddy walks , but they will be good in the snow, if you need an upgrade and budget under 250 these are really worth the money I saw no benefit in paying double for a similar set these are just perfect me hubby and sonny the Weimaraner will enjoy plenty of long walks with my new Avalon Binos xx 💋

    I was delighted with the delivery service, packaging, and marketing of the Avalon Binoculars I recently purchased. I chose the white finish and I , like that a lot but I do hope it stands the test of time and does not yellow with age.
    Unfortunately, I have had a very limited chance to really put them to the test of their optical performance. I hope to correct that on an upcoming holiday on the Devon Coast.
    The only criticism I have is that the case for the binoculars has no carry strap and I have nearly lost the case on the two occasions I have used the Binoculars. On a quality product like this why save a few pennies by not having a strap on the case?

    I purchased these binoculars last week after reading the positive reviews online. I am a regular watcher of bird life, especially the birds of prey that are often in the skies around me. I have been using RSPB 8 x 42 for some years now, but the difference between these Avalon binoculars and the RSPB ones, is that the image that you are viewing is a lot more sharper and defined. I was out yesterday and was fortunate to see over thirty Red Kites and Buzzards all weaving their magic in the sky! These binoculars are well worth the money and would definitely recommend them for anybody wanting to view subject matter up close. I did a lot of research on the internet beforehand and came to the conclusion that 10 magnification with 42 object lens was as big as I should go, though I was advised by various people that 8 magnification would be better because they would be lighter and easier to manage.

    I received my binoculars the day following my order. As it was dark when they arrived I had to leave using them properly till the following morning.

    They are brilliant. They are very easy to set up (I did use a youtube video as the enclosed instructions assume you know about binoculars). Having set them up which takes seconds I am over the moon with them. They are light, have a lovely wide neck strap, they let in lots of light and the focusing is lovely and smooth. I can now see many more things that were just not possible to see through my old pair. I can use them either with glasses, contact lenses or the naked eye – yes they are THAT good!

    The ONLY slight complaint is that the neck strap was supplied frayed so it can’t be tucked neatly into the retainer. I think it will look messy in the near future.

    These are pretty much perfect as far as I am concerned.

    These are a great weight; light enough to not strain your arms as you hold them up for a long time, but heavy enough to feel like excellent quality. The platinum colour is like ‘stone’ colour and my mum is thrilled to bits with them. They fold in for people with eyes quite close together, and are all fully adjustable and easy to focus. Very happy with the quality. The website was very useful in describing what the numbers mean and taking confusion out of the purchase. I knew I was buying exactly what my mum wanted.     She tried to use the belt loop provided on the case, but the unit is a little too big and heavy for comfort on the belt. She uses the provided neck strap instead and has no troubles with that.
